Mountain Sanctuary in the Magaliesberg

We decided to take this last weekend as an opportunity to get out of Johannesburg, and do some hiking in the quiet, open space of the Magaliesberg. In a place such as this, a weekend feels like 4 days!

Knysna Marathon

5 days of sunshine and sea were a welcome reprieve from the Johannesburg Winter, not to mention the odd few Oysters at the Oyster Festival! We stayed at a fantastic beachside house which lent itself to lazy afternoons reclining on the verandah, watching the passing dolphins and frolicking whales. Especially for those who had run the Knysna Half Marathon on the Saturday. Next year, hopefully flu won't interrupt my training and I'll be ale to run too!

Mauritian Magic

Not even two months into working at RMB and we're off to Mauritius for a division team long weekend. Now that's my kind of thing. White beaches, cocktails and sandy shores! Although considering the whilrwind that my first few weeks have been, it's a much needed break.

A group of us hopped onto 2 speed boats to head out to Ilse a Cerf and the Waterfall. What a gorgeous day!

We had a themed Pirate Party on the Friday night on one of the resort's private beaches. Lots of rum cocktails, dancing.. and a few of us ended up being thrown into the pool. Let's just say it was a late night (or early morning) where we ended up drinking whiskey on the beach.
