Base Camp Baby!

Well it's just over two weeks to go and I can't wait!  Aside from being in dire need of a holiday, I can't wait to go on another adventure and this time it's with Nades & Bron.  It'll be great to catch up with mates I haven't seen in over a year .. and all rather exotic as we're coming from South Africa, the UK and Australia to meet up in Kathmandu.  Yak steak pie and Everest lager at the Rum Doodle .. what fun!  Now I just have to get through exams this weekend and pack my bags..

A long weekend in Lyon

Always great to get away for a weekend and even better when you get to catch up with family you haven't seen in ages.  Last weekend I headed off to Lyon in the south of France to catch up with my sister who I haven't seen in a year and a half!  Catching up over lunch, baking homemade fig pie, shopping and just chatting.. exactly what I needed!

Netherwood is a gorgeous new wedding venue in Nottingham Road in the Midlands - absolutely love it.  Almost Scandanavian in it's simplicity. I can just picture a Winter wedding with roaring log fires..

After 6 months of studying, a weekend away at a private bush lodge in the Waterberg was needed!  A glass of wine, a roaring fire and a game drive..   What more does a girl need?

Kim's engagement

What a gorgeous amazing couple!  Craig (our Midlands farmer boy) flew Kim up to the top of the Drakensberg and proposed with Champagne.  So happy for the happy couple!  Needless to say many celebrations ensued!
