One doesn't need an excuse to go hiking in the Drakensberg, but as hiking is the best form of training for my Kilimanjaro climb, it was a good excuse anyway! So we headed off to the Berg for the weekend and hiked up to the contour path via the Sphinx. Gorgeous waterfalls, bushmen art and stunning scenery makes the climb all worth the while! Another terrible day in Africa!

Mr & Mrs Murphy

One of my dearest friends, Colwyn Kidger got married to Gavin Murphy at Tala Game Reserve on 24th January 2009.  What an amazing wedding and it was so special to see her happy.  Gav, being Irish-Australian, had friends and family coming out from all corners of the globe.  The pre-wedding activities, including cocktails, golf, tea parties, ensured everyone was well acquainted by the time the wedding reception rolled around.. and the party continued!

After Tristan's trip to South America and New York, I decided it was a great idea to get away for a night to celebrate his birthday. The sumptious Teremok Riverside Boutique B&B, just 20 minutes out of Sandton, proved the perfect chilled retreat (not to mention the massages included in the package)!
