We decided to take this last weekend as an opportunity to get out of Johannesburg, and do some hiking in the quiet, open space of the Magaliesberg. In a place such as this, a weekend feels like 4 days!
5 days of sunshine and sea were a welcome reprieve from the Johannesburg Winter, not to mention the odd few Oysters at the Oyster Festival! We stayed at a fantastic beachside house which lent itself to lazy afternoons reclining on the verandah, watching the passing dolphins and frolicking whales. Especially for those who had run the Knysna Half Marathon on the Saturday. Next year, hopefully flu won't interrupt my training and I'll be ale to run too!
